Welcome to the
Mackinac Arts Council website!

Enjoy browsing through our site to learn about all the exciting cultural activities happening on Mackinac Island. The Mackinac Arts Council, formed in 2003, describes its purpose as follows:

Celebrating the creativity and boundless potential and value of every person, the Mackinac Arts Council’s mission is to collaborate with arts and other organizations, create, sponsor, and promote Mackinac Island artistic activities, artists, and programs enriching the quality of life of all Island residents, including K-12 students, seasonal workers, and guests visiting the Island.

On the site you will find information about upcoming events, music festivals, and educational workshops scheduled to take place on the island.
2008 brings back the Mackinac Island Music Festival which will be held on Tuesday, August 19, through Thursday, August 21 and will include a wide variety of musical performances.

As a nonprofit entity, we are always looking for support in the form of donations—financial, artistic, or simply volunteer time. We'd like to thank all those who joined us for our annual Jammin' for the Arts fundraiser at "The Pines," cottage of Richard and Jane Manoogian on the West Bluff.  The event was enjoyed by all.  The date for our 2008 Jammin' for the Arts will be Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at the same location.

Please check out our How To Help page for ways to become involved in this exciting and growing organization.
