About
GRACE WEST
Grace West is a modern country artist with a timeless twang, whose unique sound blends her
northern roots with southern influences. Growing up in the Detroit area, music was an integral
part of Grace’s life from a young age. At just 12 years old, she picked up her grandfather’s
guitar and began strumming her first songs. Inspired by the gospel music she sang in church,
along with the Motown and country classics that played in her home, Grace felt a spark early on
that would ignite a lifelong musical journey.
Her talent quickly led her to sign a publishing deal as a teenager, and right after high school,
she moved to Nashville to pursue her dreams. Grace's path from Motor City to Music City was
shaped by her deep love for country music, a genre she has always felt connected to due to its
rich storytelling tradition. With influences ranging from classic country to modern pop-country,
she crafts a sound that honors the foundation of the genre while adding her own contemporary
twist.
From her early years performing at local venues to making waves on a national stage, Grace’s
dedication to her craft has earned her a devoted following. She gained widespread recognition
as a contestant on season 23 of NBC’s The Voice, where she placed second and earned praise
from Blake Shelton, who called her “the real deal.” Known for her pure, heartfelt vocals and
passion for the genre, Grace captivated audiences with her ability to bring the classic
storytelling of country music into a modern context.
With her old-school vibe and a fresh, pop-country sound, Grace West continues to shine as an
artist who merges the best of both worlds — a nod to the past while embracing the future of
country music
