Kids Workshop Online: Abstract Painting

Students will listen to the book The Noisy Paint Box: The Colors and Sounds of Kandinsky's Abstract Art by Barb Rosenstock  (Author), Mary GrandPre (Illustrator). Students will be introduced to abstract painting through experimental mark making and color mixing. Supplies needed include paint (tempera or kids paint), painting utensils (which could include a paintbrush, fork (plastic or metal), cup/s (dixi, plastic cup, old tooth brush, sponge, ect. ), cup for rinsing brushes, paint palette (paper plate, ect.) and several pieces of paper. Age Range: 4- 8 years  Grade Level: Preschool – 3 grade.
